Each week we will spotlight new-to-us musicians getting a chance to play live for the 48 North crowd, find some new fans, and see what happens. 
Some might be playing one of their first shows. Some might be names you’ll be hearing a lot more of.
Either way, you can say you saw them here first.
Tonight we introduce you to WOZE - an indie project from Winston Taylor and Zac Shober, blending harmony-heavy psych rock, Midwest emo, indie pop, and whatever else finds its way into the room. The two met by chance in an Uber, stayed in touch, and eventually started writing music together. Their songs come from a collaborative, back-and-forth process, pulling from different influences and instincts to create something uniquely their own.

These guys bring the classics — Creedence Clearwater Revival, Neil Young, The Allman Brothers, Grateful Dead, The Rolling Stones, Eagles and plenty more from the ’60s, ’70s and beyond.
Led by vocalist and guitarist Richie Bean, the Midnight Travelers have been playing together for nearly a decade, bringing great harmonies, killer musicianship and the kind of songs that make you say, “Ohhh, I love this one!”
They’ve played festivals and stages throughout the Pacific Northwest, and now they’re bringing the show to 48 North Pizzeria & Pub.

​Portland-based singer-songwriter Gabriel John brings a soulful, country-rooted sound filled with heartfelt lyrics, warm vocals, and authentic storytelling. For the past five years Gabe has toured all over the PNW sharing his unique blend of country and R&B.

Formed by music professionals out of Western Oregon University, this full-time progressive bluegrass powerhouse is known for a fast, tight sound and witty onstage banter. ​Melody Guy is a phenomenal Nashville-based Americana singer-songwriter touring the Pacific Northwest following the launch of her highly acclaimed album, Train to Dreamland. Known for her fearless storytelling and deep, soul-infused vocals, she blends a captivating mix of Americana, rock, country, and soul that has earned her standing ovations at the iconic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.

Portland, Oregon's Timothy James is one of a kind. Often called a phenomenon, he combines honest songwriting with his plethora of influences to create his own sound. With two records under his belt, he’s crafted a style that’s completely his own. Rooted in classic singer-songwriter culture; raised writing pop hooks. Commonly compared to artists like John Mayer and Counting Crows, it's a sound that leaves your ears yearning for more after every note. ​

​RJ Bloke is new to Portland, having recently relocated from Los Angeles, where he was a well established songwriter, solo performer and bandleader for Patrolled By Radar, in the Americana Roots Rock Alt-Country scene.
In the folk-blues tradition of acoustic guitar and harmonica, he performs originals with memorable melodic hooks and thought provoking poetic lyrics, as well as reinterpreted, choice cover songs. He has toured the US extensively, both solo, and with his band.
He has recorded several independent full length albums, as well as releases for Knitting Factory Records (Brooklyn, NY), and
Nomad Eel Records (San Pedro, CA). His songs have been featured in numerous film and TV productions, including "Shameless" (HBO), and most recently "Breakwater" (Hulu).
